It started off like any other day. Dave woke up and hopped in the shower. He dried off, got dressed and poured a nice cup of coffee. Then he went to wake his wife with a kiss. Dave faced what millions of men face everyday…Crows Feet. Multiple deep valleys in a otherwise pretty face. He looked a little closer and realized that wasn’t where the lines stopped. No, these lines were taking over. Pack up and head west, smooth skin of youth, wrinkles have moved in.

Men everywhere had the same problem; aging wives. And it’s not so much the fact that they were aging, but their faces showed it. For awhile, the husbands did nothing. It’s not as if telling your wife that her face looks like World War I Soldiers came and dug trenches in her face is easy. Men like to have a hot meal made when they come home, and telling the women the truth is an easy way to end up with a peanut butter sandwich and a VIP spot on the futon. So they tried a different method…gifts.

Women generally seem to like gifts and always seem to keep them. Men tore off to fine what will make wrinkles disappear. Then they realized this is no easy task, so much to choose from, so little time. This may be a bigger problem but they still came up with a plan.

Each man tries something different, but all rush home to give the gift. This is when men learned that any gift is not a good gift, women cried their husbands don’t love them anymore and thought they were ugly. Husbands learned this way not the way to go and all the stress would only cause more wrinkles.

After hearing of this many decided not to give the cream to their wives but simple put it in the bathroom with hopes they would use it. Most wives ignored it and some accused their husbands of having other women in the house.

One husband waited until his wife had taken her large sleeping pill, and applied the wrinkle cream. He successfully got the cream on his wife’s face, and the stood back and congratulated himself on his wits. Until she rolled over. And the pillows turned blue from the cream. He tried to make a pillow barrier, however, his wife was quite a restless sleeper. The cream didn’t have time to seep into the deep ravines before they were all over the pillowcase. Not to mention the amount of laundry he had to do. No, this plan was no good.

Scared of their peers stories, some men gave up. Wrinkles really weren’t worth the horror stories they had heard. But one man just couldn’t imagine living his whole life looking at his wife getting older and older. He sat watching his wife, trying to figure out his battle plan. She was twirling a necklace, shining in the sun, when it hit him. He started to think about her favorite things. Diamonds, silver, glitter; how could he have missed it!

He ran to the store as fast as his feet would take him. He found the prettiest jar he could find and then after putting his cream in it he put a big red pretty bow on it and brought it home.

Seeing the jar his wife gave him hugs and kisses. He told her he didn’t know what was in the jar but the jar was as pretty as her. She realized what was in it and put it right on the bathroom counter.

Every morning she was happy to take out her pretty jar and put on the cream. Soon the husband could see the wrinkles were going away. Now he knew, what was important was what was on the outside of the bottle not the inside. Beautiful jars sold like crazy, wives were happy and looking lovely.
