Three separate research groups have isolated these acetogenin compounds in graviola which have demonstrated significant antitumorous and anticancerous properties, and selective toxicity against various types of cancer cells (without harming healthy cells) publishing eight clinical studies on their findings.
Graviola has demonstrated in vitro antimicrobial properties. Chronic, long-term use of this plant might lead to some die-off of friendly bacteria in the digestive tract. Graviola acts as an antidepressant due to the novel alkaloids found in its seeds and roots. However, one should be very careful while undergoing the treatment with this plant, because these alkaloids may be toxic to the nervous system, and that means you should keep an eye for Graviola side effects – if you feel sick, please consult your doctor.
