How much does life insurance cost anyway?
Posted February 14th, 2009 by SpikeHow much does life insurance cost ? – thats a huge question as it depends on so many different factors. These range from how old you are, your general health including do you smoke or drink, and have you suffered from any serious or life threatening illnesses, what you do for a living, where you live and of course how much you want to insure your life for.
You may be looking for level term assurance, this is when you insure you life for a fixed term and only pays out if you die. For example you get $150,000 if you die in the next 15 years. What it does not do is take into account any income your family may be left without in the event of your death – so it is essential you get independent accurate advise so yo can plan carefully for the future. Level term assurance can be very cheap and this does not mean cheap equals bad – what is important is as I have already said is on asking your self the question how much does life insurance cost you then research whats out there and decide on the best plans for you and your family. Policies that pay out a lump sum and monthly incomes in the event of death inevitably cost more that level term.
So my advise is when you sit down and ask how much does life insurance cost – get some advise go on the internet and carefully research all the policies out there until you find the one thats right for you.
And remember in this case a policy that is more expensive does not mean a better policy.
