Help Planning A Hawaii Wedding

Getting married in a far away destination, such as Hawaii, is appealing to many couples. If you’re thinking of a Hawaii wedding, then you’ll have to be sure to plan everything out well. Planning any wedding is hard work, but a destination wedding where you cannot physically oversee everything is even harder. Therefore it’s a good idea to have someone in Hawaii to help you out such as a Hawaii wedding planner.

Any destination wedding takes a lot of planning and Hawaiian weddings are no different. Simply getting everybody there on time is hard enough, but then you have the catering, the dress, the bridesmaids’ dresses and even the priest to get organized. And don’t forget the reception venue and the photographer and … miss out even one of these, and you will be left looking a bit embarrassed. Luckily the internet can help you.

Most people have no idea what is involved in getting married on an island so far away from the mainland. You have to organize the flowers, the venues for the ceremony and the reception – and if they aren’t the same, then you have the transportation between these to set up. In fact there are 101 things to get done at a time when you feel like just sitting down and crying. Most people don’t, of course, and just get on with it because they don’t have the time to think of themselves.

Then there is the wedding dress and dresses for the bridesmaids, the flower girls and the clothes for the page boys if you have them. All of that has to be transported from your home town to Hawaii! You could choose one of the many off the peg ‘ready mades’ in Hawaii when you are there to arrange the wedding, but there is no guarantee that it will fit you when you pick it up. It might fall off you because you have been slimming for your wedding!

For dresses made in your home town, you have to have them flown and then steamed when they arrive. Be sure to send the dresses down a week or two before the wedding so that there are no delays.

When planning Hawaiian weddings, it is advisable to speak to the staff of the hotel where you are holding your reception. If you are staying there overnight you should speak to them and get to know them. They will then be more amenable to helping you out when you have a problem, such as the best local wedding planner (the hotel can also likely help) or any other issue you have with your wedding.

Don’t forget the photographer. Your photographer is very important and will be providing the permanent record of your wedding. The start of your marriage is very important and it should be recorded professionally. Make sure that you won’t have to rely on friends or relatives by booking your wedding photographer well in advance.
